林俊宏

I am an assistant professor in Department of Marine Environment and Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan. My major is geotechnical engineering. I have more than 10 years field experience to apply engineering geophysics in solving engineering problems, such as site characterization in landslide, assessment of soil liquefaction potential, ground improvement, and dam safety.  My research interests are mainly on (more detail refer to 'RESEARCH')

  • Studying the behavior of Seismic and Electromagnetic waves in soils

  • Standardization of geophysical methods

  • Developing advanced geo-monitoring technologies

  • Developing geophysics-based engineering quantification assessment technologies

These research are mainly applied to Marine Geotechnical Engineering, Slope Engineering, Dam Engineering, and Environmental Engineering. Current research projects include

  • Development of passive engineering geophysical methods in site characterization and monitoring of large-scale and landslide

  • Development of in-situ complex dielectric spectrum measurement technology

  • Development of air content measurement technologies for bio-remediation monitoring

There is a gap between engineers and geophysicists. My misson is to brige them and lead engineering to next generation.
